Following in the steps of Camille, et. al. I am baring my soul by showing you this monstrosity. This is my very first quilt. I was originall a crossstitcher and decided to make these little dragons into a quilt for my son. Basic squares is about all I dared master. It is horribly done. Perhaps it's good that the picture is so out of focus. (sigh)
Now! I am much more pleased to show you my most recent finish. The top was actually pieced last Christmas but I'm just getting around to quilting it now so I guess that counts as most recent.
What have I learned along the way? Besides NUMEROUS techniques I have learned to take chances; to trust myself when choosing colors or quilting designs and that as long as you enjoy the process nothing else matters!

Hi Robyn ~ I love your Christmas quilt! That's beautiful. As for your first quilt... I think that's how we should all photograph our first quilts! :)
I love the custom labels you made. But I'm curious - did you buy them or make them? And if you made them, how did you do that? They look terrific!
Thank you for sharing ~ and I'm glad the Christmas quilt picture wasn't blurry, I'd have been sorry to miss seeing it!
Hi Robyn ~ They're both wonderful! At least, I think they're both wonderful... I can't tell on the first one. :)
Your Christmas quilt is absolutely gorgeous ~ the applique on the top and bottom is a beautiful touch! I'm sure the dragons you cross-stitched on your first quilt are as beautiful. :)
Thank you for sharing your quilts!
What a nice quilt for a boy! And the Christmas quilt is awesome! The applique on the top and bottom is beautiful! Great job!
I am enjoying visiting everyones first and most recent quilts. Your latest quilt is wonderful, I love the colours.
okay 2 things ... 1)amazing counting cross stitch and putting them into a quilt, 2) I love the basket and flower applique on the recent quilt, and 3) I am doing Bonnie's Mystery Christmas quilt too! Where did you get the button for your blog? I want one! My first scrap quilt with Bonnie was Orange Crush, I admit .. I am hooked! love your blog, I'll be back :o)
Your Christmas quilt is fabulous. I enjoyed seeing your first quilt too!
Your Xmas quilt is fabulous..the fabrics blend so beautifully.
I understand how you feel having a blurry pic might be OK. I feel that way on some of mine. But hey -- look how far you have come.
I love the Christmas quilt! I'm inspired! thank you!
I love the applique on the Christmas quilt. Is it hand done?
You've come a long way! I'm a new quilter, and seeing your progress gives me a great deal of encouragement.
